1978 Royale GMC Motorhome
ABOUT
My wife and I went on a trip in our GMC MotorHome on a very hot Northern California summer day (110 degrees) in 2011. We had not traveled far and our Onan generator quit running. Now the roof air could not operate. Soon the heat inside the coach was becoming unbearable. I discovered the cause of the Onan's shutdown was a bad ignition condener. I was unable to find a replacement for it while on our trip.
After that trip, I knew coverting the Onan generator over to electronic ignition was the way to go to make the Onan much more reliable. So, in the Fall of 2011, I built my first electronic ignition kit for our Onan. I installed it on our coach and it proved to work great in extreme California heat or in cooler weather too. In the Spring of 2012, I decided to make kits available to the GMC community.
The orginal Kit I built for our coach in 2011 is still working flawlessly.
Hope to see you down the road. Happy travels!
